Heartland Community College seeks applicants for a full-time position on the Human Resources team to lead, manage, and supervise staff supporting functions related to employment, employee onboarding, and benefits, including insurance, leaves of absence, accommodations, flexible work schedules, Worker’s Compensation, OSHA, wellness/employee assistance programs, and retirement.
The Director works collaboratively to develop and execute best practices for Human Resources and evaluate HR policies and procedures, recommend changes to maintain currency and compliance, and provide consistent interpretation and application within the College. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director also assists in overseeing efficient daily operations of the Human Resources Office with an emphasis on providing excellent customer service and serves as the manager on duty in the Executive Director’s absence.
