Payroll Specialist

Job Title: Human Resources Payroll Specialist

Department: Human Resources

Reports to: Human Resources Director

General Summary:

The Human Resource Payroll Specialist is responsible for collecting, verifying all hours worked, commissions, bonuses or any other compensation while ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time. The Human Resource Payroll Specialist will maintain the database of personnel information and payroll records for Tentac Enterprises and associated entities. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in payroll and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Collecting timesheet and payroll information
• Entering data into payroll and administrative software programs
• Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions
• Makes photocopies; mails, scans, and emails documents; performs other clerical functions
• Assist in Administering programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the company
• Benefit billing reconciliations
• Participate in discussions for developing department goals, objectives, and systems
• Participate in administrative staff meetings and/or company meetings
• Assists HR Director with various research or special projects

• Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education and Experience:

• Any combination of education and experience equivalent provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Degree in Human Resources or Business is preferred
• Minimum two years’ experience Human Resources
• Knowledge of Paycom

 Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift to 25 pounds without assistance
• Ability to hear within the normal range
• Ability to see within normal parameters
• Ability to sit for long periods
